Pisgah Pike is a historic district in Woodford County, KY. There are several beautiful buildings, a cemetery, horse farms, and more. The problem is getting a good vantage point to take some photos.

I have always been fascinated by space, and our nearest neighbor. My 200 mm lens gave a nice view of some of the craters. I had to use a tripod and a remote to keep from blurring. I would really like to get a stronger lens to hopefully get more detailed shots.

The Dixie Belle

Dixie Belle

The Dixie Belle is a cool paddle boat that runs on the Kentucky River under High Bridge. A great way to spend a few hours, and a great opportunity for a few photos.

Train Spotting 3 - High Bridge

The pic I wanted most was of a train crossing High Bridge. I figured it would be hard to get, and require hours of waiting. During our outing today we heard a train coming as soon as we got out of the car! It was soon followed by another. Then a few hours later while riding the boat we saw two more! It was a big train day apparently.

Train spotting continued today. Alicia was kind enough to drive us to Danville. Not a great place to see trains. The yard is huge, but you can only see a little bit of it at a time, and viewing opportunities are limited.
